Important update for Brooks Team Members Working Onsite (positive diagnosis)

We learned Tuesday evening that a Carenet team member who works onsite at our Brooks campus has tested positive for COVID-19.

Please keep our affected team member in your thoughts, as they seek care and recovery. Due to confidentiality laws, we will not publish the name of the team member.

Here is what we know:

  • The team member last worked on Tuesday, June 16, 2020, during the day, and was notified on Tuesday evening that they tested positive for COVID-19.
  • Upon learning of the confirmed test results, we temporarily closed the campus overnight, and it was professionally disinfected per CDC guidelines.

  • All team members who worked in close proximity to this team member for prolonged periods are being communicated with directly and asked to self-quarantine for 14 days, per Carenet policy and CDC recommendations.

At this time, no other team members are reporting symptoms of the virus.

Carenet’s leadership continues to closely monitor the situation and are using extreme caution to help prevent further spread of the virus in our workplace.

In the meantime, we encourage everyone to stay vigilant. Wear your masks when not seated at your workstation, exercise social distancing and wash your hands often.

Remember, it is absolutely critical that if you’re feeling ill—specifically fever, cough, runny nose—to let your manager know and stay home. If you have further questions or concerns, please speak with your manager or send an email to COVID19@carenethealthcare.com.
