August 5, 2020, Safety Update

Team,

We are all concerned about the numbers of positive cases of COVID-19 that have been reported at our campuses. Safety continues to be our top priority. Please know that, as an organization, we are doing everything we can to protect our Carenet family.  I am asking for your partnership in continuing the work ahead in keeping our campuses as safe and healthy as we can.

As a reminder, here are a few of the most important steps we continue to take. We:

  • Professionally disinfect our buildings every night per CDC guidelines, and if there is an exposure or potential exposure, we have asked our janitorial services partner to take extra cleaning steps
  • Have cleaning porters in our buildings to disinfect periodically throughout the day
  • Add an additional 360-degree disinfectant mist treatment to a building in cases of heightened caution and concern
  • Have hand sanitizer and disinfectant sprays available in all buildings
  • Require masks to be worn at all times except when at a workstation
  • Implemented social distancing at all locations
  • Have pre-entry temperature and wellness check policies at all buildings
  • Report every positive diagnosis of an onsite team member and perform contact tracing on each case for other possible team member exposures

Nearly 90% of our entire team is working from home now. We require all new team members right now to be able to work from home.

Moving forward, we’re instituting stricter guidelines to keep you safe:

  • There will be zero tolerance for any team member who doesn’t abide by our pandemic-related protocols, whether that’s wearing a mask or getting their temperature checked each workday. If you violate a rule, you’ll be asked to leave the Carenet campus.
  • There will now be a single point of entry for each of our buildings.
  • Stay home if you have recently been tested and do not yet have results, are experiencing symptoms, or feel unwell.

Ultimately, keeping our campuses open is the responsibility of each of us. We will continue to do all we can as a company to keep you safe. We ask that if you work onsite, that you, too, do all you can to protect yourself and your coworkers.

Feel free to email me or your manager with questions—as well as ideas for any additional steps you think we should consider.

We’re in this together. Thank you for all you do to be safe at work and at home.
